I recently had the pleasure of presenting for PATH Parent to Parent/Family Voices of Connecticut, a non-profit organization that provides information and support to families who have a child with developmental or other health-related needs.
PATH asked me to speak about the legal decision-making tools that are available when an individual with a disability turns 18.
I spoke about the spectrum of planning options, including Advance Directives, Power of Attorneys, Supported Decision Making Agreements, and Conservatorship/Guardianship.
